Application Process

We've made the application process as simple and hassle free as possible and we'll help you every step of the way.

Applications

When applying at Helphire Group plc you will receive confirmation that your online application has been submitted correctly and that we have received it. The selection process will then vary depending on the position applied for.

Short listing

All applicants (internal and external) will be given similar consideration during the short listing process, with your skills, knowledge and experience being compared to the job description. The candidates short listed for interview will be chosen on the basis of skills, knowledge, work experience and qualifications.

Interviewing

We will use a variety of assessment methods as part of our selection process. The main selection method is a competency-based interview whereby we seek to gather information on the applicant's past behaviour to predict their future performance. We will only ask questions relevant to the job or future employment with the Company and will avoid questions that may be construed as discriminatory.

Selection

We may also use in the selection process (if appropriate to the post) business exercises, psychometric tests (ability and personality assessment), group exercises, presentations and individual exercises. We may also hold an assessment centre for groups of candidates.

Where psychometric tests are used as part of the selection process these will be carried out within the British Psychological Society guidelines. Candidates will be provided with feedback on these results.

As part of the selection process we will also gather evidence on the candidate's right to work (or immigration status), qualifications, and unspent criminal convictions.
