Welcome to e-register

e-register Ltd, Helphire's jewellery division, operates two brands offering insurance-related services for jewellery and other valuables; jewellery valuation specialists the Guild of Valuers & Jewellers, and insurance claims management company Guild Claims Service.

The Guild of Valuers & Jewellers

The Guild of Valuers & Jewellers

The Guild of Valuers & Jewellers has a network of over 700 jewellers nationwide providing professional valuations on jewellery, watches and silverware to members of the public. This service is provided in a variety of ways, including a postal service, home valuations and Valuation Days at jewellers around the country.

Each Guild valuation provides a beautiful portfolio with detailed descriptions and accompanied by digital images and provide proof of ownership as well as the security of online registration. The e-register database now holds £700m of jewellery items and this is increasing daily.

Using unique reference numbers to ensure watertight security, each valuation is registered by the jeweller and can then be accessed by the customer's insurer for underwriting purposes.

Guild Claims Service

Guild Claims Service

Guild Claims Service is a claims handling organisation working with the jewellery trade and insurers to provide effective and appropriate settlement of jewellery claims. With over 2000 participating jewellers, the Guild Claims Service delivers a specialist claims handling solution to the insurance industry, and is driven by web enabled technology giving global access to claims records.

In-house jewellery experts provide specialist validation of all claims, and are supported by 15 experts from the trade with remote access to Guild Claims Service systems. Dedicated claims handling software allows documentation to be uploaded to a claim record, and insurers can check the progress of a claim and even listen to recorded phone conversations online.

Where lost items have previously been registered to the e-register database settlement of claims is fast and simple. Registration facilitates quick and easy settlement of claims by providing proof that the item existed as well as detailed information about the item.

Guild Claims Service is the only claims management company to be officially approved by the National Association of Goldsmiths.
