Fleet Operations Manager

Role Title: Fleet services - management or supervisory

We are currently looking for a Fleet Operations Manager to join our successful business, based from our Bath Head Office. This is a vital role within the company, the main purpose of which are to efficiently manage the quality and security of the fleet, from delivery to completion of disposal, including management and cost control of maintenance and refurbishment in line with the companies contractual and legal obligations.  Another key purpose of the role is to provide support to the Fleet Services Director in negotiations and relationship management with vehicle manufacturers (OEMs).

This is a superb opportunity for an experienced Fleet Management Manager who is looking to join a market leader in the Accident Management industry during a challenging and exciting time for the business.

Principal Responsibilities of the role include:

Maintenance

Ensuring all vehicles are properly maintained to the correct standard in line with OEM recommendations, legal & contractual requirements and the prevailing company policies while minimising related costs.

Refurbishment

Ensuring vehicles are refurbished at end of life to the appropriate standards for buyback/hire/lease return or for risk disposal as agreed from time to time while minimising related costs.

Vehicle Sales

Ensuring risk cars, vans, bikes and taxis are sold in a timely manner while maximising their residual values at all times and considering any impact on the market.

OEM Liaison & Support

Providing support to the Fleet Services Director in negotiations with OEMs including relationship development.

Logistics

Ensuring vehicles are moved as appropriate to branches and/or de-fleet sites to support optimum utilisation while minimising transport costs.

• Up to £1,000 sign-off on repair, maintenance and other orders
• Department Budgetary Expense Control

• Fleet Management experience
• People Management experience
• Remote Management experience
• Rental Industry experience
• Logistics experience
• Security experience
• Ability to deal with Directors/Senior Executives
• Microsoft Excel and Word
• Full Driving License

Desirable

• Motor Industry Knowledge (processes/people/products)
• Strong Analytical Abilities
• Microsoft PowerPoint and Access
• Knowledge of Tryx system
