Manual Test Analyst - Manual Tester

Overview

We are looking for a Manual Tester to join our fast growing IT department in Bath. You will be testing our cutting edge, in-house business systems to ensure a level of quality required to meet the group's operational and business requirements. You should have experience using Mercury Quality Centre and have the ability to produce and execute test scripts.

Responsibilities

Testing

Create detailed test plans, test data, test cases, predicted results.
Co-ordinate setup of test environments/platforms.
Execute tests, identify and report faults, co-ordinate receipt and retesting of fixes.
Facilitate user acceptance testing and user signoff.
Question the business process or systems design if necessary, raising issues of consistency or highlighting technical weaknesses.
test that software solutions meets business objectives, rather than simply meeting documented requirements.
Contribute to continuous improvement of quality assurance practices and procedures.

General

Work closely with colleagues (analysts, architects, developers, projecct managers, business partners) to agree and undertake the appropriate level of quality assurance on software development projects.
Develop and maintain knowledge of group business domains to the benefit of project(s) and self.
