Typical Roles Available
Litigator (ULR/Credit Hire)
Bringing a minimum of one year's motor claims, general insurance or equivalent experience to this position, you will be responsible for recovering losses incurred following road traffic accidents. This will involve exploring litigation and issuing County Court proceedings where necessary, aiming to maximise benefits to the client at all times. A naturally motivated, well organised person, you'll demonstrate excellent customer service ability as you keep all parties fully informed. Three months' small claims/civil litigation experience, as well as ILEX (or a relevant professional qualification), would be an added bonus.
Claims Negotiators
It will be your job to ensure the smooth recovery of clients' claims. This will involve collating and assessing claims following the road traffic accident, submitting the claim to third party insurers and successfully negotiating a full settlement. To do all this you need to have an excellent customer service and communication style, as you keep all parties informed along the way. A good level of general education is essential, whilst some insurance motor claims experience would be ideal (as would time spent dealing with liability claims plus ABI/GTA knowledge). As part of joining this team you will initially work within the training academy.
Team Manager
This role will see you manage a team of claims negotiators or litigators towards collating/assessing claims or settling claims through effective negotiation, maximising the profitability of all cases. Using your motivational style you'll train and coach the members of your team, and ensure targets are achieved along the way. For the Claims Negotiator Team Manager role a minimum of three years experience in motor claims is essential. For the litigation role you will need a thorough knowledge of litigation, insurance and court procedures. A year's litigation experience would be ideal, as would ILEX and LLB qualifications.
Uninsured Loss Recovery Assistant/Administrator Assistant
Getting involved in a range of departmental tasks, you'll support litigators in ensuring the smooth running of the department. This will include inputting data onto our central systems, ensuring claims meet acceptance criteria and processing documents manually or electronically; so good, consistent attention to detail is a must. An important member of the department, you'll also access emails and action them accordingly, update other members of staff and contribute to team meetings when necessary. You should have a good level of general education together with a sound level of computer literacy (knowledge of Excel would be useful).
